#4 1st month passed

It is hard to force myself and write the blog each week, since I'm not always having a Wi-Fi connections and when I have I'm not always carring my netbook with myself, so I easily forget about it...
This week was almost all the same like the previous ones, we did our job etc. However there was a littl echange with the days off, since Viktor wanted to visit his girlfriendon Sunday, so he worked on Saturday instead of Olivér and him, Zsófi and I had a day off, and after some discussion we finally decided to go to Plymounth by Uber and take some time in the city near the ocean and walk around the city center. We got to the rock at first since the ride was tilll there, then we walked around the ocean checking out the Mayflower ship's replica.
Then we walked in the city and accidently went in to a Diva's Dance Competition which was probably for the local kids as we saw the competitors. Afterwards we went in a restaurant which uses local products to make their meals, then made some more walk around and also catched an ice cream van to buy some, and later we enjoyed the music festival which was taking place in the city center while we were there, however it was mainly for the local retired people as we saw the auidence... :D
And our week passed, we just went back to work on Sunday and start the next week.

#3 Rainy day off

This week we had nothing special to do, however we made some bike rides around the neighborhood after work. We went to Marshfield's airport, which was a small one for private sport and leisure planes. On another day I went around alone and I end up in Pembroke and found a school bus parking lot and real american suburban area as well.
And then on Saturday we had a rainy day, so we cannot do anything in our day off... just stay in the camp and chill while there was a little time without rain I went to cycle around.

#2 Kids arrived

This week, we just started to work from Monday as noramally and as the kids arrived on Friday we started to work on the camp schedule from 9 to 5 instead of the 8 to 4. On Tuesday all the staff expect the maintenance team got a day off, however from Monday the day camp started already, so we had job to do...
On Thursday we had our last day without kids, so we hadd a graduation party where everyone called by name and been intreduced to all the staff members like what they'll do during the summer! It was a crazy party and also there was a banquette dinner before where we had some really good meals thanks to our kitchen staff!
On Saturday we had our day off with Viktor and Sophie so we planned to go to the ocean again, however we had to check the bikes and make them ready, so Viktor had to wait and since Sophie wanted check the bank wee went a bit earlier to catch it opened. So we activated the online banking and then we went to a mall to look around as she needed some clothes to buy and then we went to Brant Rock and spent some time at the beach which was a bit rocky as its name says... and I took some pictures as well:
On Sunday we had to work with Viktor, and we were that lucky the stockade's new bathroom was opened already, so we had to clean an extra 20 toilets and sinks and right now only 5 showers, since they don't have the rest ready yet, and hopefully they'll be ready on next Wednesday.

#1 First week passed

The first week is already gone, we've been working the whole week from 8 to 4. In the middle of the week the rest of the hungarians arrived, so now we are 10 in total, 3 girls and 7 boys. 3 of us working as a maintenance guy and one as laundry and maintenance the rest of them are in the kitchen.
On Sunday we had a day off, so in the morning we fixed some bikes and went to Duxbury beach to have some rest and get out from the camp. We came back to the camp to watch the hungarian - belgian football/soccer match, but we got disappointed since we lost by getting 4 goals scored... It was also hungarian day in the camp, but there were nothing special just at the dinner we could put in some hungarian music, and that's it.

Arrival to the USA

This Friday I had my flight from Billund to Frankfurt then to Boston where I had to take the silver line bus to the south station and then the red line metro to get to Braintree where Rob was waiting for me to pick me up and head to the camp. During the flight I was trying to relax a little and I watched 2 movies: Deadpool and the new version of Alice in Wonderland and what a surprise: I saw Wi-Fi on airplanes before, but on Lufthansa it was free to use Facebook on it, so I used the advantages of it, however the messenger didn't work on my phone but on my PC I could easily use, however the pictures didn't load but I could send! :D When I arrived to the camp it was almost 6 PM, so I've just took dinner talkl with some guys and went to sleep around 10 PM. Next morning I've already had to wake up and work form 8 AM, so I started to get know one of my new workmates, during the afternoon the 3rd maintenance guy arrived and we moved to our cabin and went sleep early again.
Sunday we had a day off, so with Viktór, the newly arrived maintenance guy we planed to go to the beach like where we went last year with the other guys, and during the afternoon I was talking with Alexa and Roda about how we could meet, since we are not that far from eachother, but still there are not too many options to get there... :\ After dinner we had a WalMart trip and that was pretty much all the first 3 days as I arrived.

Getting ready for my 2nd summer in the US!

I directly put this post on that time, since one year ago at that time I hade my first post from the US! Now I'm still in Denmark for a few more days and getting ready to head straight to the US form here.
I am hoping that I will have some more motivation this year to write my blog, I'm planing to do a weekly report here just as well as I did it on my Studying abroad in the EU, all the experience blog this semester. However the picture is not that accurate, since I'll fly from Billund through Frankfurt to Boston, but there are some non-stop flights from Copenhagen anyway. ;)
I got some plans for this summer already, as long as 2 of my Erasmus friends from Romania are just arrived there, a few days ago, and they are staying in the same state like me! So hopefully we will manage to schedule a meeting there and have some fun together! =)

NY: The Big Apple

That was quite a time when I've been there and now I'm creating this post... Simply I didn't feel motivated before, but now I feel like I have some time to do so. :)

Let's start it at the begining, in the middle of the day I took y bus to get to NY from Phili, of course it was a megabus just as always. It took around 3 hours to get there, as I arrived my first step was to buy a 7 days ticket for the metro and get straight to my hostel, which was a liittle bit surprising for me, I didn't expect a room with only 2 beds! But it didn't bother me, since I'll get there to sleeping proposes. :D Firstly I went outside of my hostel I went to check the Central Park,I spent so much time there and I couldn't walk around all parts while I spent there like 3-4 hours, that can show you how big it is...
Afterwards I didn't want to go anywhere else just take some rest in the hostel room, however around 9 my room mate arrived, a bulgarian guy and he was asking what did I see till now. I told him what I did, and then he was like, then we should go to the Time Square! I didn't see it during the night! So I've just get dressed and went out to walk around, we spend quiet a time there walking around and wondering how shiny is the city during the night.
On the next day he was about to leave, but he still wanted to visit the Liberty statue, so we woke up early and and go for it to catch one of the first ships to there. It was nice to walk around the island and we also wait a little just to catch a guide who walked around with us. It was really great! She told us a lot of things that we would never know if we just walk around by ourselves... Afterwards he went to catch his flight and I ent across the Central Station then go out to check the Time Square during the day, and as it was raining it was almost empty! I spent a lot time then as the rain stopped I was about to go to Brooklyn and wait from the park side to get dark and tooking a lot of pictures till it got totally dark and I crossed the bridge to got back to the hostel. While I was on the metro, there was a caribbean girl catching my look all the time, so after a few stops I went upto her and we started to talk and so, then I've just went back to my hostel to get some sleep, this time I had a new roommate, an austrialn girl who left next morning.
Next day I met with a hungarian girl to explore the city together, first we met at a church, then we walked around and we were accidently crossing a live Justin Bieber acapela concert on the way to the Central station and checked some parts of the Central Park where I wasn't before. Afterwards we went in a Christmas shop accidently, funny that you can buy any kind of stuff in such a city even Christmas stuff during the summer! :D Then we went to the China Town to buy some suvenirs and walk around to see how it looks like. Since it was raining almost all day we didn1t plan anything more. When I arrived back to the hostel after I've got ready for bed my roommate arrived who was an irish girl who was quiet a fun person and we talked a lot during the night just to get know eachother and share our experiences till now about US.
The day afterwards I met the hungarian girl again at another church near the Wall street where we made a walk afterwards, then we went to Brookly to walk around and make some photos and to cross the bridge of course during daylight. Then we went to check the Time Square to see it in a nice shiny day then our way splited up, as she went to meet a friend to have lunch with while I had my tour to the top of the Rockefeller! Afterwards I went to check the 9/11 memorial, then went to Brookly again to make a time lapse video about how Manhattan looks like when it's getting dark. And that was the day, as I got home my roommate arrived to and we had some talk again sharing our day experiences. Then we decided since the next day is our last day we should get up early and check the sunrise from Brooklyn side to see the city lighten up in natural light. However we went to sleep so late...

But I was still able to manage to get up and and wake her up to get ready and catch the sunrise! It was soooo beautiful! We even went against some rules as we were sitting on the rocks, and on the sky a helicopter was going around and stopped, and just after a few minutes a security car came along and the guy was waving on us to get off from the rocks and get back to the pedestrian zone. As we did so we also started to walk back crossing the bridge where we saw a newly wed couple taking pictures, as we crossed we had some breakfast. We went back to the hostel to take finish packing our luggage and she went straight to the airport while I've just store it there and went in the city to catch a final theathre scene what I looked out days ago! So at Time Square I bought the tickets at the TKS office for half price, it was still a lot! and watched the play named An American In Paris, it was a play during the second world war, I really liked it! :) As it finished I had to rush back to the hostel to get my luggages and go straight to the airport to catch my flight, I was hurrying, but as I arrived I still have some time... I could notice when they were talking about my flight, cause they started with italian... :D The fligh back was okay, at least I didn't miss the lunch this time! :D
